Every day is a busy day in New York City -- and our visit to the Big Apple yesterday was no exception.
We started the day early with a stop at CBS studios where the Gov and Mrs. Romney did a great interview with Charlie Rose and Erica Hill. I always enjoy being so close to the action during those kind of interviews. It's fascinating to see everything that happens on the other side of the camera lens.
We had a few other meetings during the day, but we later met up with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. I have to say, it was pretty cool to travel around with him on his home turf. He and the Gov ended up picking up a bunch of pizzas from Joe's Pizza (a local favorite), and sharing them with a crew of NYC firefighters.
To hear stories about the 9/11 tragedy from folks that were so close to it was really an eye-opening experience for me. I've met a lot of people on this job that I consider to be my heroes, and now I can add the 9/11 first responders to that list.
