It was great being back in Florida this week. Florida was very good to us in the primary and it was great being back with friends. With stops in St. Petersburg and Jacksonville we encountered very enthusiastic and boisterous crowds and the Gov had a blast with them. In St. Petersburg he exclaimed that he would have to take everyone in the audience with him as he traveled because they were so energetic.

In Jacksonville, we encountered the same enthusiasm. Jacksonville in particular was a fun event and we had Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll with us.

Florida will be an important state for us in November and with the reception we are getting there, I believe people understand that the Gov has the answer to usher Florida and the rest of the nation out of these economic woes.

Here are some highlights from Florida. Today, we’re back up north in New Hampshire.

Team Florida Posted 04.14.12

“I am honored to have such a strong team in Florida,” said Mitt Romney. “They understand that President Obama’s new regulations and tax-and-spend policies have failed to stimulate our economy and have only left our country mired in debt and uncertainty. As Americans make a critical decision about the future direction of this country, Florida will be an important state. This team will be essential to my campaign as I reach out to voters. With the help of these committed public servants, I am confident that we can defeat President Obama and turn around this struggling economy.”

Congressman Mica said, "It has not been my practice to endorse candidates in primary elections, but as I look at the direction our country has been taken under this President, I worry for our children and our grandchildren about our future. And, as I look at the field of candidates in this election, no one matches the outstanding business and elected executive credentials of Mitt Romney. He has the skills, experience and vision needed to defeat President Obama and turn around our economy. As a successful businessman and a fiscally-responsible governor, Mitt knows how to balance budgets and he understands how to create jobs. He has also laid out bold plans to cut taxes, shrink government and control our national deficit. I am proud to endorse his candidacy and I look forward to campaigning with him across the Sunshine State."
